"Raw Food Recipes"

For many people, it may be difficult for their taste buds to get used to the taste of raw foods. There is no doubt that raw foods can be an acquired taste, making raw food diets and raw food detox diets a difficult task for someone who is not used to eating a lot of raw foods. Heck, it may be difficult for many people just to eat a serving of raw food per day because of the taste. Well that is where you need to get creative and figure out ways that help you to eat raw foods and maybe even enjoy them a little bit.

There are many great raw food recipes out there, the trick is just finding the ones that you really enjoy and are not very difficult for you to make. Raw food recipes that have both of these traits are the ones most likely that you will prepare on a regular basis. To help you get started and brain storming some raw food recipes that you would like, I want to share with you some of my favorite raw food recipes that you may want to try out.

One of my first favorites is to make some homemade salsa.  Not only is this a delicious topping for many healthy meals, but a friend of mine showed me that it is also great to mix with some mashed up avocado. I highly recommend trying that combo.  The great thing about homemade salsa is that every ingredient in it can be healthy and it is super tasty at the same time. Homemade salsa is also very customizable.  If you would like some sweeter salsa, add some fruit such as mango.  If you would like a spicier salsa add more peppers to give it that extra little kick. With homemade salsa, you are not only creating a delicious and unique flavor but a great healthy snack as well. To find some great homemade salsa recipes just do a search online and go from there.

Another great raw food recipe I like to is stuffed mushrooms. The mixture that you stuff into your mushrooms is up to you or you can find a recipe. A mixture that I enjoy is diced tomato, garlic, pinenuts, cilantro and a dash of cumin.  To prepare this all you will need to do is purchase some large white mushrooms, remove the stems, then stuff the mixture that you created with your ingredients into the mushrooms. You can then eat these raw or dehydrate them if you prefer a different texture. This makes for a great appetizer or side dish.
One last dish that is delicious is a fruit salad. Pick any number of your favorite fruits, chop them up and mix them in a bowl. You can have this for dessert, breakfast or just a snack. It is a tasty treat anytime of the day.

These are just three great raw food recipes that you can use to create some delicious foods. With a little imagination, you will be amazed at what you might whip up.
